Lenten Calendar 2024: This Lent, you are invited to pray with a line of God’s word each week and to express that word in action each day. 3rd Sunday of Lent: Lord, you have the message of everlasting life. Mon: Notice signs of new life around you and give thanks for the gift of creation. Tues: Give - money, time, commitment – to those who are struggling. Wed: Pray for those who are most impacted by climate change. Thurs: Fast in solidarity with those denied life’s basics. Fri: Pray for the gift of trust in God. Sat: Cherish the unexpected moments of wonder. |
Parish Gathering: In his Pastoral Letter, “Moving Forward in Hope”, Bishop Ray invites all parishioners to participate in a consultation process to shape the future of pastoral areas and parishes. A consultation gathering will be held in our parish on Monday March 4th at 7.30pm in the Recreational Hall. As preparation for the gathering, you are invited to reflect on the following three questions: 1. What are the key areas of parish life that you feel you could take responsibility for? 2. What help do you feel you would need? 3. Where do you see scope for cooperation with neighbouring parishes in the pastoral area? 4. What are the most important ministries you want from priests in the pastoral area. Many thanks for your support and assistance for this consultation. |
