Kilcummin Pastoral Council: On behalf of all Kilcummin Parishioners we would like to thank Fr. Kieran and all the priests of the Killarney Pastoral Area for all the work they do in our Parish attending to all our needs; Funerals, Weddings, Baptisms, Confirmation, Holy Communion, Masses in our Church, School Visits, Meetings, Sick Calls and preparing for the Sacraments especially during these very challenging times. It is very much appreciated and we wish you all A very Happy, Holy and Safe Christmas and New Year. Míle, Míle Buíochas.

The COVID-19 freephone helpline which is provided by the Kerry COVID-19 Community Response Forum will remain operational seven days a week throughout the Christmas and New Year period. The confidential service, which is available on 1800 807 009, will continue to be available every day between 9am and 5pm for non-emergency supports and for advice and guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic. If anyone needs to arrange a delivery of supplies, if they require transport for essential purposes, or if they need to connect with any of the wide range of support services which are available, they can call the freephone number or text ‘SUPPORT’ followed by their name to 50555.

Roads Cleanup: The clean-up of our roads is an ongoing activity carried out by individuals and staff from the local CE Scheme.  This is a very worthwhile exercise in keeping our Parish clean. We are appealing to everyone to be vigilant over the Christmas period and to report all illegal dumping to to Kerry Co. Council by Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., Phone: 066 716 2000. Freephone: 1800 326 228. You can also download the App “See it? Say it!” to your phone which will allow you to report on the spot dumping. Your help in combatting this problem is much appreciated.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Christmas is a time of year when we generate huge volumes of wastepaper, food, glass and plastic. As we hear and read in the media about the negative effects global warming has on our planet we are encouraged to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste wherever possible and help protect our environment by disposing of it in a proper manner either through your local bin collector, at any bottle bank or at the Coolcaslagh Civic Amenity Site in Killarney.

God Bless Our Family

Today and every day let this quiet,

tender moment of our Lord’s own family

touch our hearts and change our lives.

God, bless our family.

Make it like the family of Your Son.

May our moments of sorrow

give way to seasons of joy.

May the memory of harsh words fade

before the warmth of a loving touch.

May there never be pain

that a kind embrace cannot lessen.

May the tears of sorrow

always be replaced by the music of laughter.

May the resentment be banished from our home

and forgiveness reign in our hearts.

Amen.
