Cemetery Mass: Holy Cross cemetery mass is cancelled due to health & safety issues arising from Covid 19.

Eucharistic Ministers: An updated schedule for the Eucharistic Ministers is available after all masses. Due to Covid 19 guidelines only two Ministers are required for each mass. As a result of this we would very much appreciate if each team could rotate their designated weekends between themselves.

The Annual Collection for our Sick & Retired Priests is taken up at this time of the year. Donations can be handed in using the envelopes provided in your yearly envelope box & are also available in the Church.

Processing to Holy Communion

  • The key is that at any moment there are no more than 6–8 people out of their seats.
  • Working from front to back, come forward up your aisle in a single line. Return via the side aisle, keeping the two metres distance.
  • If you are wearing face covering, lower it to your chin as you approach the priest/Eucharistic minister.
  • To keep a distance, extend your hand towards the priest/Eucharistic Minister.
  • Having received Holy Communion, readjust your face covering.

At the final blessing

1. Please leave the church slowly, be mindful of Public Health guidelines.

2. All should carefully sanitise their hands.

3. Those nearest the church doors leave first, all doors are open.

4. If stopping to talk to someone, please do so well away from the church

    doors.

  • The parish newsletter is available as your leave. Also the basket for your weekly contribution.
  • Do all you can to keep each other safe from the virus.

It will be unusual for a while, but together we will make it work: Much of the above will take a little getting used to, but it is all possible—after all, our focus is the chance to return together for Mass, and we will all do whatever it takes to get us around the Lord’s Altar to receive the Bread of Life.

GAA Fixtures: Minor Football.  The Minor Co. League commences on Friday July 17th at 7pm with an away trip to Beaufort.

Senior Co. Championship Rd 1 draw   Mid Kerry v Kilcummin

Share the Pot.  The fundraiser can be accessed online or at the post office and is only €2.50 a draw or €10 for four draws. Please support as the club has huge financial commitments to meet despite no Lotto at present. Draw live on Facebook every Friday night at 8 pm approx.

Kilcummin Looking Good: Thank you all for making such great use of the Recycling/Bottle Bank at the Village Inn. If containers are full, please do not leave your bottles, etc. there but bring them home with you again. We would also ask people who bring their dogs out for a walk to clean up after them and to respect other road/footpath users with children, buggies, etc.

Lost: A car key was lost between the vicinity of the post office and church during the week.  If found please hand in to the P.O. or Rural Dev. Office.

Bog Walks: The Kilcummin Rural Dev. has in recent weeks carried out road works on the Bog Walks to elevate flooding and further work is to be carried out in the near future. The Walks comprise of two walks, a Red 9k and a Green 5k. The start of the Red walk is in upper Cockhill while the Green Walk start from Knockataggle. Suitable footwear is recommended for both walks. Brochures are available from the Rural Dev. Office.

Reflection

There’s no storm that God won’t carry you through.

No bridge that God won’t help you cross.

No Battle that God won’t help you win.

No heartache that God won’t help you let go of.

He is so much bigger than anything you will face today.

Leave everything in His hands

and embrace this day

confidently knowing that He

will take care of you.
