Credit Union Co League: Kilcummin players and new management team got off to a good start with a win over Austin Stacks in Tralee last Sunday, final score Kilcummin 1-11 Austin Stacks 0-9.
We trailed by just a point at half time playing against the difficult conditions helped by a penalty conversion from Kieran Murphy and 2 Sean O Leary points. Stacks did go a further point ahead after the break but it was to be nearly all Kilcummin thereafter outscoring them by 8 points to 1 with Noel Duggan judging the elements well from frees. A special word of thanks to our hosts who afforded the players and management a Guard of Honour before the game and provided refreshments afterwards. Next game is at home to Templenoe in two weeks.
