KILCUMMIN COMMUNITY NOTES

NEW PARISH OFFICE HOURS

Hours are every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10.00am to 12noon every week.  All parish queries can be made through the Parish Office during these times, 064 6643176.

COURSE

Kilcummin Looking Good with the support of Kerry ETB plan to run an introductory Course on Organic Gardening & Basic Horticultural Skills in Kilcummin village from autumn to spring commencing Thur 26th Sept from 1.30 – 3.30pm. If you would like to learn how to create a garden that is both beautiful & productive or to reserve your place please contact Paula on 086 – 3667514.

JUNIOR SET DANCING

Classes commence at the Recreational Hall on Fri. 20th at 7pm for beginners & intermediates followed at 8pm by advanced. Children are invited to join us from within & outside the Parish. For details please contact Mary 087-9620135/John 086-1579381.

COMHALTAS

Kilcummin Comhaltas are now enrolling for group music classes for beginner and advanced and also for singing classes. These classes are open to all and for more information please contact 087 1191353.

FUNDRAISING

We will be collecting at Tesco’s Deer Park on the 18th October. Any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

MUSIC LESSONS

KILCUMMIN GAA

PRESIDENTIAL VISIT.

The planned visit of John Horan to our club to present All Ireland Medals to our senior team had to be cancelled as neither the county board or Legion GAA club could accommodate us this week end with our county championship fixture. It goes ahead this Sunday at 1.30pm in Fitzgerald stadium.

SCÓR NA NÓG 

Club members under the age of 17 years on January 1st 2020 who are interested in participating in the East Kerry Scór na nÓg competitions; Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Recitation, Instrumental Music, Ballad Group, Set Dancing and Table Quiz. There was no winner of the Lotto on Friday 13th September. Numbers drawn were 3, 4, 10 & 22. Consolation prizes went to the following; €100 Philip O’Leary, Mastergeeha, Kilcummin. €30 Archie Lenihan, Rathanane, Kilcummin. €30 William Healy c/o Lals, €30 Kathleen Cronin, Kilbrean, Killarney. Next draw Friday 20th September. Jackpot €13,400.

In this close and entertaining game the boys come out on top by the odd goal. Sean Doolan (2), Hugh Lenihan and Alan O Leary got the goals to ensure this win.

TRAINING
