‘SPOOKY SPRINT SUNDAY’
‘Spooky Sprint Sunday’ is on 27th October. This family fun run event and prelude to Halloween, now in its third year and run in association with Kilcummin NS Parents Association will help to raise funds for the Fuchsia Ward, St. Columbanus Community Hospital that care for people with dementia and also Kilcummin National school.
Registration for the Fun run will commence at 11.30am in Kilcummin Recreational Hall which is located just across the road from Kilcummin Church where everyone is welcome. There will be lots of fun and games, best dressed and best pumpkin carving competition refreshments, home baking, treats, face painting, a raffle and spot prizes as part of the event.

Kilcummin Minors had a comprehensive victory over Currow in Rd 1 of the East Kerry Championship played in Currow on Sunday last. Two goals in the first half courtesy of Cian Foley and Mark O Shea set us up nicely to lead at half time by nine points. Currow rallied in the second half and found the net on a few occasions but Mark O Shea again and Philip O Leary replied to leave the final score Kilcummin 4-19 to Currow 4-4. Congratulations to our Senior Ladies and mentors once again as they completed a Hat-Trick of titles last Sunday with a three point victory over Austin Stacks in Farranfore to win the Mary Joe Curran tournament. Added to the County Junior title as well as the Div 3 title this completes a phenomenal year for this young team. We look forward to the celebrations at the clubs social event at the years end.

40TH YEAR CELEBRATIONS
Over last weekend the club kicked off the celebration of 40 years. Over the two days there were a range of activities for young and old from blitzes for underage and a charity game v Ballyhar. Many thanks to all that helped out in making this special occasion a great success.

In this tough battle in woodland the boys were unlucky not to get a point. Emmett Spillane got the Mastergeeha goal with Kieran Nagle and Jack Tagney going closest for the equaliser.

Despite the score line this game was close until the final 10 minutes when the more clinical visitors got the goals to decide the outcome. Danny Coffey (2) and Sean Mc Aulliffe were the goal scorers.

The continued their good start to the season with three points away on Saturday morning. Darra O Callaghan, Colin O Leary (2) and Tourlough O Connor were the goals scorers in a good team performance.

In this high scoring game Mastergeeha took a deserved three points. Liam Fleming, Darra Tagney, Kevin Bowler, Adam O Sullivan, Shane Warren, Cian Foley(2) and Brian O Driscoll(2) were the scorers.
