BOG WALK

A major clean-up of the Bog Walk by staff from the Kilcummin Rural Dev. took place during the week. As a result we would appeal to all who use the facility to be mindful of our beautiful environment and to refrain from littering the area. A major problem are abandoned fertiliser bags and we would appreciate if any unused bags were picked up by the turf cutters and disposed of properly at the end of the turf cutting season.  Our thanks to Kerry Co. Council’s litter Warden for all their help in the disposal of the rubbish. Mile Buíochas.

HAPPY RETIREMENT

Best wishes to Canon Tom Looney on his planned retirement as PP of Fossa. Fr. Tom served the people of Kilcummin with great enthusiasm for eight years. As well as his spiritual duties Fr. Tom took a great interest in all cultural, sporting and social activities in the Parish and was always willing to lend his support to individuals and organisations. We wish Fr. Tom every good health and happiness for the future. Go mbeannai Dia Duit
