GAA FUNDRAISING DEVELOPMENT DRAW: This very important fundraiser must be pursued with intensity by every club member over the next 6 weeks with the draw going ahead on the 31st March. This is a joint venture with the Kilmacud GAA Club in Dublin. The 1st prize is a car to the value of €20,000 or €16,000 cash, 2nd prize is a luxury holiday to the value of €3000 with two €1000 holidays and numerous prizes of lesser value. €100 will provide you with ten tickets, €50 with three tickets and single tickets €20. The success of this draw will determine the election of much needed additional dressing rooms and progress the new field to provide additional training area space.
EAST KERRY LEAGUE: The Kilcummin Senior Team played their first game of the 2012 season V Legion on Sunday in Direen. The first half saw Kilcummin points from D.J. Fleming 2(F) and Daniel O’Leary 1(P) to leave the interval score Kilcummin 0-3 Legion 0-5. Legion dominated the second half and ran out winners 2-14 to 0-7 with the Kilcummin scores coming from D.J. Fleming three points, 2(E) & 1(P) and Kevin Gorman adding a point from play. Team: Kieran Fleming, Tommy Brosnan, Kevin McSweeney, Sean Brosnan, Eric O’Connor, Ronan O’Connor, Damien O’Leary, Gary O’Leary, Kevin Gorman, Daniel O’Leary, Ian Devane, Michael O’Sullivan, D.J. Fleming, Ritchie O’Connor, Jer Sheehan. Subs introduced: Jamie O’Sullivan, Shane Murphy, Gavin O’Connor, Tom Cooper. The team will play Rathmore next Sunday 19th February at 2pm in Kilcummin in the East Kerry League. COACHING: The GAA Club organised a very successful presentation on long term player development and coaching by Michael McGeelin, Director of Coaching Ireland and was attended by over fifty people which is very encouraging for the Club. Our thanks to Jamesie O’Sullivan in the organising of this event.
MEMBERSHIP: It would be very helpful to the Club Registrars if members and new members submitted their 2012 contribution to allow the completion of registration adults €40.

SCÓR SINSEAR: Well done to the Novelty Act group who competed in the County Final on Sunday last in the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney. The group included Gearld Fitzgerald, Donal O’Sullivan, Donal Donnelly and Frances Moriarty. Although the Novelty Act didn’t go through they did very well and represented their Club with great pride. JUVENILE AND SENIOR GAA CLUB MEMBERS REGISTRATION will take place Friday 17th Feb. from 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the Clubhouse. Fees are 5 yrs to U10, Club & Ladies €20; U12/U14/U16 (3rd child free) Club €30 Ladies €40; Adult Player Club €60, Ladies €70; Ordinary Member Club & Ladies €40. GAA UNDER 12 BOYS training commences on Saturday 25th February from 4pm to 5pm.
LADIES FOOTBALL: Kilcummin Club hosted a victorious game for Senior Kerry Ladies against Fermanagh last Sunday. Thanks to all who helped on the day. REGISTRATION takes place on Friday 17th and Friday 24th from 7.30pm-8.30pm in the Clubhouse for all girls and lady players.
OLD/USED MOBILE PHONE COLLECTION: Please bring any old/disused mobile phones to the Club as the ladies club are making a collection as part of a fundraising drive. MASTERGEEHA FC: U12 PREMIER LISTOWEL CELTIC 3 MASTERGEEHA 0 - In this away game on Saturday morning the boys travelled to Listowel. In an even opening half both teams had chances with Paul O’Shea and D.J. O’ Leary going close for Mastergeeha. In the second half the home side took the lead in the 50th minute. After this the boys tried their hardest to get a goal back with Niall O’Connor unlucky not to score in the 60th minute. In the closing stages Listowel scored two goals. All involved tried their hardest.
U14 PREMIER KINGDOM BOYS 2 MASTERGEEHA 1: This was a second vs. third clash in Tralee Dynamos pitch on Saturday. In this close game both side created chances with the Mastergeeha boys taking the lead when Dean Fitzgerald scored following a well worked move. Just before the break the home side equalized. In the second half Mastergeeha went close with J.J. Herlihy hitting the upright and Sean Twomey unlucky not the score following a through ball by Gearoid Kerins. However in the final minute Kingdom boys scored the winning goal. Mastergeeha tried their hardest in the time remaining but could not get the equaliser.
U14 B DIV 1 MASTERGEEHA 0 IVERAGH 5: In this game against top of the table side Killorglin the boys tried their hardest but were beaten by a physically stronger mid Kerry team. Mastergeeha had chances throughout the game with James Nagle and Peter O’Brien going close. All involved gave their best and could not be faulted for effort. U16 DIV 1 MASTERGEEHA 4 IVERAGH 3: Mastergeeha started the better and lead 3-0 after 25 minutes of this game. The boys took the lead when David Klink scored with a good shot in the 10th minute. After Darren O’Connor shot was deflected by the goalkeeper with Paul O’Riordan in the right place to finish and double the lead. Mastergeeha scored the third in the 25th minute when a good move was finished well by Philip Casey. However just before the break the visitors pulled a goal back. In the second half Iveragh started the better and reduce the difference to just a goal in on. Mastergeeha continued to create chances with Paul O’Riordan going closest. However the boys restored their two goal lead when Paul O’Riordan scored following a good passing move in the 70th minute. In the final minutes of the game the visitors scored again. For the remainder of the game Mastergeeha defended well and held on for a deserved victory.
PREMIER B MASTERGEEHA 0 FENIT 3: In the opening quarter the Mastergeeha side played the better soccer without creating any clear chances. In the 30th minute the visitors went ahead following a corner. Minutes later they doubled their score. Just before the break Mastergeeha created their best chance when David Fleming crossed with Alan Moynihan unlucky not to score. In the second half Mastergeeha attacked more but the visitors defended well and attacked on the break. Fenit scored again in the 70th minute to ensure the win.
